Andrea Shupert, MA

Academic and Career Coach

Andrea partners with those she coaches to help them find solutions when they feel stuck in positions or relationships or when they are ready for the next step and don’t know how to make it.

She has years of experience as an academic coach assisting students who need help with executive functioning skills. She enjoys partnering with students and their families in the college advising process from beginning the search, creating the list, brainstorming and editing the essay, to reviewing the applications for accuracy and additional information.

My Story

Hello! I am Andrea Shupert a academic and career coach. I love to help young professionals and mothers reach their goals and maximize their time. I will partner with you to help you find solutions when you feel stuck in positions or relationships. I’ve found satisfaction and joy working in the private sector, teaching in public and private schools, working at non-profits, and developing fundraisers and events. I have worked with students in the private and public sectors as an educator and youth worker for the past thirty years.

How I work

My focus has been on guiding students to achieve their goals, whether in academic success or the college admissions process, in the construction of the college essay and throughout the college application process. I’ve also worked with students who are not motivated and/or who are gifted but are not finding academic success at the high school or collegiate level. I have developed methods to help those students who struggle with executive functioning skills at both the high school and college-levels. If your high school or college-age child is not finding the success he or she desires or is underperforming at school, I would love to come alongside and give him/her the necessary skills. If your young adult is needing assistance with Adulting 101, I would enjoy walking your adult child through the process of becoming the adult he/she desires.

About Andrea

A variety of careers coupled with my roles as a wife, mother, grandmother, and caregiver to my elderly parents, have provided me with a clear understanding that transitions are the fabric of many women’s lives. My favorite activity is reading but I also really enjoy swimming; I swim about a mile every day!
