Niah Kalpak

Graduate Intern

My Story:

Hello! My name is Niah Kalpak, and I am currently an intern at Simplify Life in the Norcross location. My passion for therapy developed during my college years. I experienced my first significant challenges with mental health and witnessed similar struggles among those around me. During that time, I realized that some of the coping strategies I had previously relied on, such as prayer and church involvement, were no longer fully addressing the difficulties I was facing. Negative beliefs about myself and others began to influence my thinking and decision-making as I tried to avoid anxiety and overwhelming thoughts. Through the support of therapy, I was able to reconnect with myself, develop healthier coping strategies, and begin reshaping my thought patterns in more constructive ways. These tools allowed me to fully feel the joy and love within my faith. That experience had a profound impact on me and ultimately inspired my desire to pursue this field.

Today, I am especially passionate about supporting young people who are navigating major life transitions and learning to manage the challenges that often arise during these seasons–many of which people feel unprepared for. My goal is to provide a supportive space where individuals can better understand themselves, develop effective tools, and move toward greater well-being.

How I Work:

My approach to therapy is rooted in compassion, curiosity, and collaboration. I aim to create a space where you feel safe to explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences without judgment.

Have you ever noticed yourself thinking, “Part of me feels this way, but another part of me feels the complete opposite”? Maybe your responsible, hardworking side is pulling you one direction while another part of you just wants to rest or have fun. These inner conflicts are something many of us experience. I believe many of our struggles come from the beliefs we gradually pick up throughout life, both through difficult experiences and through everyday moments. Over time, different parts of us develop ways to protect ourselves or cope with overwhelming emotions, even when those patterns no longer serve us.

I am especially passionate about supporting young people who are navigating new stages of life and learning to manage the pressures and uncertainties that often come with them. I believe in a holistic approach and recognize the deep connection between the mind and body. Together, we explore how stress, emotions, and physical experiences interact, helping you build awareness, develop healthier coping strategies, and feel more grounded and connected to yourself.

About Niah:

I’m currently pursuing my graduate degree at Richmont Graduate University and am on track to graduate next spring. Alongside school, I run my own photography business. I’ve loved photography since I first picked up a camera at 15, and it continues to be a creative passion and a meaningful way for me to connect with others and capture important moments. Outside of school and work, I enjoy exploring coffee shops around Atlanta, especially when it involves trying fun or unique iced coffee flavors. My favorite drink is always changing, but an iced vanilla latte with cinnamon is a longtime staple. I’m very right-brained and naturally drawn to creative spaces like music, art, and literature, and I love spending time outdoors whenever I can. In my free time, you’ll often find me going for a walk, checking out a new café, or heading to a class at Pure Barre as part of my self-care routine.
