Counseling Associate

If you find yourself feeling burned out by perfectionism, I would love to walk alongside and help you find more balance and enjoyment in the life you’ve created.

My Story

Hello! I am Elizabeth Elsbury. From adolescence through adulthood, the traps of perfectionism and the pressure to live up to expectations can be overwhelming.  The constant drive to excel, try harder and push yourself can feel like you are sprinting a marathon.  These pressures are easy to internalize and while you may look “fine” on the outside, it can take a toll on your well-being.

I specialize in helping teenagers, young professionals and adults who are struggling with anxiety, perfectionism, stress, and life transitions (break-up, new job, new school, etc).  In my own life, I have felt similar internal and external pressures.  The race to achieve good grades, get into a good college, and follow an expected career path was ongoing.  In my adulthood, I reached a turning point where I realized that life was to be lived out of freedom, not fear.  This process led me to move from the corporate world to the counseling world so that I could help others bravely move forward in their lives as well.  Many clients I work with feel like they have been sprinting for years but are scared by what might happen if they slow down.

How I work

If you find yourself feeling burned out by perfectionism, I would love to walk alongside and help you find more balance and enjoyment in the life you’ve created.  By working together to recognize the roots of your anxiety, we can transform the impact it has on your life. Whether you are a teenager, young adult or professional, I’d be honored to support you and equip you with tools to help you gain greater peace, clarity, confidence, and freedom.
